What I Do?

I counsel because I have experienced the joy and freedom of life-changing healing myself, and I love the opportunity to walk with other people down their own path of healing. Life throws us many twists and turns that are unpredictable so it helps to have someone to help guide us through these times. I enjoy listening to people share their stories and being invited to take part in the story. I love to work with couples, families and individuals to help them achieve their goals.

Frequently Asked Questions With Dan

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions that we receive. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

I have always really enjoyed psychology and understanding what makes people tick. I also really enjoy working with people one on one or in small groups to help them with problems.

Walking with people through their problems, growth and life journeys.

First, I would say it’s ok that you feel hesitant or nervous about coming. It can be challenging to open up and tell your story to someone. I’d like to assure you that the therapists at Bayridge are well trained, caring and great listeners.

Helping people, hearing their stories, and the heart-to-heart connection is energizing and incredibly rewarding. I also like to learn about psychology, trauma and theology.

I would encourage parents to focus on parenting for the long-term. Think about what is best for your child over the long haul, not what feels good in the moment or what comes easiest or most natural to you.

Talking allows us to express thoughts, feelings and emotions which allows us to organize our inner world, challenge negative thinking, come to new insights and have the experience of being truly heard.
