What I Do?
Joselin is a registered social worker and psychotherapist offering virtual counselling and psychotherapy.
She believes that life holds meaning, even when it feels hard to access. At times, we can become lost or disconnected from the values and direction that once guided us. Through compassion, presence, and care, therapy becomes a space where meaning can be uncovered, rediscovered, or created—supporting each person to reconnect with their inner compass and move forward with greater clarity.
For over 17 years, Joselin has worked in the mental health and addictions field, supporting individuals and families through illness, loss, caregiving, major life transitions, and loss of meaning. She walks alongside clients as they seek steadiness, purpose, and a way forward when life feels uncertain.
Outside of work, you’ll often find her gardening or spending time in nature. These practices remind her that healing is connected to growth, balance, and relationship—values she brings into therapy. She honours diversity and wholeness, and meets clients with curiosity, cultural humility, and deep respect.
Her approach is warm, trauma-informed, and grounded in meaning. She provides support for grief and bereavement (including anticipatory grief), chronic or life-limiting illness, caregiver stress, life transitions/burnout, and anxiety or low mood. Treatment approaches include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Meaning-Centred Psychotherapy, and Dignity Therapy.
I Believe
“I believe life holds meaning, even when it feels out of reach. When you feel lost or disconnected from your values, therapy can help uncover, rediscover or create meaning. With compassion and care, we’ll reconnect with your inner compass and move forward with clarity.”

Frequently Asked Questions With Joselin
Here are some of the most frequently asked questions that we receive. If you have any other
questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.
I was drawn to this work through a deep curiosity about people and how they make sense of life during difficult moments. Over time, working in mental health and addictions showed me how illness, loss, and major transitions can shake a person’s sense of identity and meaning. I became especially interested in walking alongside people during these moments—helping them reconnect with what matters, even when life feels uncertain
My favourite part of being a therapist is witnessing moments of reconnection-when someone begins to feel more grounded, more themselves, or clearer about what gives their life meaning. It’s a privilege to be trusted with people’s stories and to support them as they find steadiness, dignity, and direction in their own way and at their own pace.
I would first acknowledge that hesitation is completely understandable. Reaching out for counselling is a personal step, and it’s important that it feels right. I encourage people to take their time, ask questions, and see therapy as a collaborative conversation rather than a commitment to “fix” anything. Even one conversation can help clarify whether support feels helpful at this point in their life.
My biggest accomplishment is the trust clients have placed in me over the years-allowing me to walk alongside them during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. Supporting individuals and families through illness, loss, and major life transitions, and seeing them reconnect with meaning, dignity, and inner strength, is something I hold with deep respect and gratitude.
I’m most grateful for my family and for the relationships that ground me, as well as for the privilege of doing work that aligns with my values. I’m grateful for the resilience I’ve witnessed in others, which continually reminds me of the human capacity for growth, even in the midst of uncertainty or loss.
A good friend offers care and support, and coaching focuses on goals and strategies. Therapy is different in that it creates a protected, unbiased, confidential space where your experiences can be explored safely and without judgment. In therapy, the focus isn’t on giving advice or fixing you—it’s on understanding patterns, meaning, and emotional responses so change can happen in a way that feels authentic and sustainable. You don’t have to protect the other person or worry about being a burden; the space is held entirely for you.
Working in my garden and spending time in nature instantly calms me-it helps me slow down, breathe, and feel grounded again.
Which meal is your favorite: breakfast, lunch, or dinner?
Dinner. I love settling in at the end of the day and sharing a relaxed meal at the table—catching up about our day, enjoying good food, and laughing together.
Who has had the greatest influence in your life?
My father had had the greatest influence in my life. He remains my inner compass—guiding me, grounding me, and giving me the strength to navigate challenges and find meaning along the way.
