Frequently Asked Questions With Eirini

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions that we receive. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

My passion for the field of social work and counselling started at a very young age as I grew up surrounded by strong compassionate women who did what they could to improve the lives of the vulnerable in the community. Their example has shaped my life and it has been a catalyst in determining my career trajectory.

The relationships: I get to know people on a pretty deep level, and develop sincere care and concern for the clients I see.

The stories: I love hearing my clients’ stories. I feel the pain, the sadness, and the fear, and I celebrate the happy ones.

Insightful moments: Every once in a while, I get to witness moments of profound insight in therapy. A client finally connects some important dots on their own. They understand themselves or their relationship in a way they never have before. An observation I have made resonates with a client at a deep level and allows them to see things completely differently. These moments are the fuel that get me excited.

Give it a try. Given the right fit, it could be a life-changing experience.

What activity instantly calms you?

Going for a walk and connecting with nature, prayer and journaling and spending time with my pets.

How do you enjoy spending your alone time?

I love listening to my favourite music or a podcast.

What’s the best piece of advice a family member has given you?

“There is only one way to eat an elephant: one bite at a time.” Even though I love animals and don’t eat meat, I often go back to this idiom when situations seem daunting, overwhelming, and, even, impossible, as it reminds me that things can be accomplished gradually by taking on just a little at a time.
