What I Do?

I have more than 22 years of experience with a diverse population of clients. I started my professional work as a student’s mentor in the year 2000 at Joseph’s College in Bangalore, India – a five-star accredited university college established by the Jesuits in 1882.

I am a registered psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I am an independent practitioner and clinical supervisor as per the standards set by CRPO. I am always willing to go ‘beyond’ and above the call for those who seek my support and intervention. I have conducted several hours of couple therapy sessions, individual sessions for adults struggling with multiple mental health issues, especially trauma work for adults wrestling with psychological and emotional issues from childhood.

I received my intensive training in Integrative Psychotherapy at the Blanton-Peale Institute, New York, USA, founded by Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, and subsequently completed my doctoral residency program at the Vancouver General Hospital, Vancouver, BC, Canada. I have worked in various clinical settings in Canada, USA, Singapore, South Africa, Malaysia and Thailand. I believe in the transformative power of therapeutic relationship that helps in the recovery of my clients. I will ensure that you will find a ‘safe place’ to begin your healing journey with me and will give my unconditional support for you as you navigate your road to healing, recovery and personal growth.

I received personal therapy soon after high school as I battled my own need for ‘unfinished emotional healing’ because of being separated from my mother immediately after my birth due to her physical illness. My commitment to therapy continues to transform my life and it provides me hope, promise and a deeper sense of devotion and conviction in the power of psychotherapy.

It’s indeed an experience of giving and receiving in abundance.

While it’s a personal decision to receive therapy, there are moments in life when we all need each other to show the way. Offering a moment of ‘holding place’ for a person in need of healing and recovery can make a difference.
