What I Do?

Have you been feeling anxious, stressed, or depressed lately? Struggling to connect with others and the world around you? Want to live more in the moment, but find yourself lost in your thoughts or worries? Life can sometimes be overwhelming and difficult to manage. I am here to help.

I am currently a registered psychotherapist (Qualifying) who works with individuals (adults 18+ and teens 14-18) and couples. Using a client-centred approach, I strive to provide a supportive, safe, and non-judgmental environment to help my clients better understand themselves, develop healthier coping strategies, and gain an improved sense of control over their lives. I also believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation in which growth and change can occur.

Others have described me as a kind and open-minded person. As a therapist, I seek to empower and support my clients through whatever challenges and hardships they may be experiencing. I aim to walk alongside my clients, supporting them as we navigate their struggles together. I believe in the importance of respecting and appreciating the individual needs of my clients. I also focus on the strengths and unique circumstances of my clients, and value the importance of building rapport and trust and creating a safe space.

Frequently Asked Questions With Hailey

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions that we receive. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

For as long as I can remember, I have had a passion for helping and supporting others. Throughout my life, I was inspired to become a therapist so that I could have the opportunity to help and support those in need.

My favourite thing about being a therapist is the privilege of walking alongside my clients in their life journey, being there to celebrate the wins, and working together to navigate life’s challenges.

It takes a lot of courage to take the first step to start counselling. Counselling can be an incredibly rewarding experience where you can learn more about yourself, have a safe space to talk about hard things, and have a person who will be on your team and there to help you navigate your difficulties.

I am grateful for so many things: my family, friends, and career. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to be working in the career I have always dreamed of having.

Trauma is not always what people think it is. It does not have to be big events, such as war or extreme violence. Trauma can include experiences such as emotional neglect, bullying, a breakup, or death of a pet. Most people have experienced some sort of trauma in their lives. It is important to acknowledge that many things we experience can be traumatic and it is okay to struggle to work through these things.

Talking allows people to organize and make sense of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. When we better understand ourselves, we are better equipped to take more values-directed actions and work through our difficulties with an increased awareness of our thought and behaviour patterns.

What activity instantly calms you?

An activity that instantly calms me is painting. I am currently enjoying the guidance that comes with using paint-by-numbers.

Would you rather cook or order in?

Order in! My favourites would be sushi, Indian food, and Mexican.

How do you enjoy spending your alone time?

When I am alone, I love to watch reality TV shows, order in and do relaxing activities like taking a hot bath or doing some painting.
